Today, I got my science test back. There's this one question on the neutral environment for a mutated white leopard. Laurie said my answer didn't make any sense. well....

At the time I was thinking very seriously about the question. I wrote that if the white leopard lived in the circus, it would be a neutral mutation. Because only the tricks that it does matter.

Ms. Jay thought my answer was hilarious. I was just glad I got the mark.

In English Patrick and Gavin demonstrated Chinese education.

It reminded me of the time when I went to school in China. I used to be a "two stick" monitor. And I literally did not talk at all. I remembered having spring uniform, summer uniform, and winter uniforms. And we had to do those ridiculous exercises every morning. We had to sit straight and put our hands behind our backs. And every one in my class, all 38 people, were numbered. And I was No.18.

Yesterday it took me 5 hours to do English, and slept at 4:30. And I wasn't even finished. And this morning when I went to school I realized there are people who didn't sleep at all. =O

This is what frustrates me.
In Chuaqui's class, if we miss a class for any reason, including fieldtrip, sick, student council activities, or skipping, she doesn't tell us what we should do, or what the homework is.
And right now I don't know what to do.
During the class before the fieldtrip, the teacher said we have to do a drawing of 2 people wearing 8 clothing.
And today, I ask Jamie and she tells me we have to do 2 drawings of 2 people for 2 seasons wearing 6 clothing. That is. 4 drawings in total.
Then Jessie tells me we have to do 4 drawings of 2 people for 4 seasons wearing 4 clothing. That is. 16 drawings.
This is ridiculous.

We went to see birds!!!
And I was pretty shocked when I got off the bus and found out that it was the place where I lost my phone in grade 8. (I got my phone back already)
But i must say, it was pretty surprising.
I bought a bag of bird seeds. And I found out that after I feed the ducks with a lot of seeds. They actually follow me around.
But then Eric jumps up and down yelling "Earthquake!!" ...and scared the ducks away.

I went to watch the talent show today with Angel. There were only three performers today. In the auditorium, people were just chattering by themselves and the poor teacher yelled 5 times to quiet them down.
The first performer was this Asian guy with square glasses and he sang a song. Or I should say, he tried to. But his tone was off. And Angel was laughing so hard I was afraid that she might choke on her sandwich.
The second performers were a couple. I was deeply impressed by the guy. His voice was so high, even higher than his girlfriend.
The third performer was a girl named Jasmine. I didn't know who she was but the crowd just went crazy after her name was introduced. She sang Grenade by Bruno Mars. I have to say, her voice is beautiful. Awesome!!! :)
I think I've decided to vote for her.

It was about 4 years ago. I was 10 years old, the last summer before I came to Canada.
I had classes at the east side of shanghai. And my parents weren't home, so I took a bus.
When I'm on a bus, I have this habit of staring outside the window for. a really long time. I just stare and my mind wonders far away. Then the bus stopped and more people squished onto the bus. And then I noticed this high school girl, wearing school uniform, staring at me. You have to know, in China, people don't bother you, and you don't bother people. Anyone can be dangerous. Back then, as a ten year old, I got scared easily. I thought to myself maybe she was just staring at someone near me. And to convince myself, I turned around to check. That girl was staring right at me. I tried to calm myself, I thought I should be safe on the bus with so many people.
When the bus stopped at my station, I practically ran off the bus. I didn't dare look back, I thought i could still feel her eyes on me. Or maybe it was just my imagination...scaring myself?

I guess today was a pretty bad day for me...
First there's the Langara run. And unfortunately I was wearing my old shoes and they were too small. So after the run my feet hurt on both ends.
And also. my glasses broke apart. My right lens fell out, I asked a bunch of people and no one could fix it. My mom got really mad at me.
And on chat no one was responding to me. And I got pretty upset. I think I'll bring a juice for Edward tomorrow. sigh...
People sure are really hard to deal with.

So today I followed Laurie to the reach for the top thing. And amazingly half of the synergy class was there.
We had a match, and I got totally confused by the questions. I guess I still have a lot to learn. Jacob, Jamie, and Jonathan were really good at it.
And for all the Math 9 Enriched, we had this mind math test. And we only had about 2 minutes to do it. Nick got perfect 13/13. I only got 12. Because I was in a rush I accidentally wrote 240 to 420. I think next time I should try slowing down the pace.

I just came back from a party. And I wouldn't call it the best party. Jessica was there and so were her mom and brother Alexander.
At first everything was fine. Then I accidentally hit Alexander's head in front of his mom. I apologized and it was okay.
But then, my sister threw the ball at Alexander for fun, but it hit him in the eye. So then I apologized to his mom for my sister.

Since the ball was too dangerous. I took it away and suggested to play the original Hide and Seek.
When Jessica was looking, I think she wanted to make it more exciting, and sat on the chair her brother was hiding under. But who knew that Alexander's elbow was right under the chair.
And he started crying...
And they started hitting eachother....

piano competition

Today was my piano competition. I'm playing a duet, with Winnie.
We were supposed to bring the book to the competition. But our piano teacher lost the book. So we had to tell the judge we lost it.
So then in the end, even though we were getting a gold, we didn't have our book and got silver.

I got all the signatures on my absent form signed except for Mr. Olsen. And I was looking everywhere after school...
And...I just got a call from the school saying I was absent today....

I remember Mr.Sale saying Synergy kids are not good at sports. and most of us just proved him right today. (Well, there are exceptions, like Edward and Jacob who are naturals. )

We were playing baseball in PE, I didn't know how to use the bat and kept missing the ball. At last I hit the ball on my last chance, but it got out in the air. I only batted once and I got out.

Today I was not in a good mood. And school just passed by like a blur. I didn't even get anything inside my brain.
Maybe I'm just feeling a bit stressed. There are a lot of pressure. End of the final term is coming up and I have another piano competition on Thursday. So I will not be at school for the first 2 blocks.

Yesterday my sister wanted to go to ash park. So my mom gave me the choice of washing dishes + cleaning up the house or taking my sister to ash park. And i chose the second one.
Good thing I brought City of Ashes with me. I was so surprised when I found out Simon became a vampire....
It was cold and I was shivering after 10 minutes of reading.
Then I met my friend Anson, and we started playing soccer. And for some reason, he always get hit by the ball. =]

Our speech was due today and I was pretty nervous about it. But luckily, Jessie and I went to english early, so we didn't have to present. phew... -___-
The results for the Gauss contest is out!! I got 138, which is 3rd in the school. ^-^ yay me! But Gavin got perfect and 1st in the school.

Da Sun Run

I went to the Sun Run. There were so many people..O.O
Good thing I found Nick, Allison, and Edward.
Funny how it's on "Mother's Day" and it's called "Sun(Son) Run"....lol.
The race was supposed to start at 9. But there were too many people and we waited there for 50 minutes!!! I was okay for the first 3 km, then I started getting tired.
But Eddie wouldn't let me rest..
And he dragged me for 2 more km... It was painful..

Then afterwards, I was going to take the sky train to go home. So Eddie and I walked back to the sky train station 1.5 km away back the route of the race.
But he didn't have money...and somehow he talked the guard into getting him a free ride. =]

Tomorrow is the grade 8 track meet. =]
Although I'm only doing one event...I hope I do good in it.
Today we had a fieldtrip to a farm. There were very interesting things like slugs and centipedes.
Laurie and I even found a black ladybug with red spots on them.
I caught an ant and started playing with it...until somebody said it was poisonous.. D=

Yesterday I had a piano competition at lunch, so I couldn't busker. sorry everyone.
For the competition, I was playing a duet with little girl called Yifan...(I know. but it's not the guy from our school)
We got gold...but i don't know what's wrong with that judge. because EVERYBODY got gold. D=
Well...that made the competition sort of meaningless. At least I've gained some experience...yeah...

After we got off the bus, we had no clue where to go, and we met Gavin.
He was also no help, and even leading us the wrong way. =]

Today's the first day of Buskerfest. I don't have a group but I was planning to play the piano. but the grade 9s were all crowded around the atrium. So I went around for donations =]
I got a total of $5.25!!! =DD

So yesterday, was Jessica's birthday. And I went to her party today. At first there were only Jessica, Wendy, and another Jessica. We were watching 2012 (I've watched it already, so I was reading manga [cardcaptor sakura]) ..Then somehow Dasha came.

Anyway, i managed to finish the whole series at Jessica's house. =]
And somehow...we ended up going to Dasha's house. she had a bird, and it was seriously freaking me out. it was flying all over the house.

On Monday. I had 2 piano competitions.
The first competition, I was doing a duet with another girl, so it wasn't that bad. Somebody is up there with me. And we got 1st place. YAY!! =DD

Today was rotation day... and I was 10 seconds late for french. So then I had to knock and excuse myself in french.....=.= And trust me, it wasn't fun...
Then in PE, edward was in my class. He was supposed to bring my homework, but he said he didn't know if he brought it or not. I was so scared..
Then at lunch edward, (yes, again...=.=) was swinging my pencilcase and it flew right into my lunch. And he drank my juice...I lost both my lunch and my juice..T.T RIP my lunch....
So then I was so mad I forgot to go get my math textbook, and went straight to math. And when I got there and after the 1st bell rang, I had to go to my locker and get my textbook and binder.
Then, when I got back to class, i couldn't find my math homework....so I just sat there.
But good thing the teacher didn't collect homework today....phew...-___-)
After school, I went hunting for my math homework...and found it in my desk in french class.......
And Laurie went to track meet, I think, so I walked home alone... sigh.

My parents, (and grandparents) they are making me go back to China.

I don't want to. I mean..I've moved around a lot. I had 4 different elementary schools, and trust me, it's not something I'd like to do. I have all my friends and stuff. And it's too hot in China. It's also very messed up.
They were saying, like, we should live with our family. And they think China has better education. Well that's because they weren't educated in CANADA.

a giant, giant. knot =D

Haha...my sister got a giant knot in her hair. I had to cut it off for her. =]
I don't even know if it's possible to have such a huge knot in your hair, but she managed to accomplished that. The knot was about 2 cm thick, tangled hair tangled together.
At first she tried to cut it by herself, but she couldn't see the back of her head. In fact, nobody can... -__-)
So I took the scissors and cut it for her =D
I learned that first, hair can be tangled into giant knots, and second, sometimes we need others' help to accomplish some things. ...=]

When I was going to drawing class this afternoon, my mom decided to take us to McDonald's. We went to the one closest to our house. And I met my classmates. Yucong, Ken, those people... o.o

So. I went to drawing class, and because I didn't attend the last class. (I was in China) I had to catch up. So I stayed behind after class. And well..I drew until the class after had ended. So I drew for 4 hours straight. =]
It's not that fun, I got a cramp in my thumb. (I know..it's weird, but I did)

I don't know why but I seem to be more excited than they are.

...So I calculated my marks for this term. I probably got five A's, one B and one C+...so, that means I can get either an A, a B, or a C+ in AS. If i got a C+, my average will be exactly 3.5!! yay!! As long as I don't get any lower than a C+, which I don't think so. Then I got on the honour roll!!!! That was my original goal from the start of the term!! mission accomplished ^-^

Steven was being annoying again. He changed his name into Laurie's name on google buzz.
And the problem is, he is good at it. He knows Laurie so well that it even got me confused...=[

Spring Break:
My grandmother is a lot better, and that means...she talks more.
She talks a lot already, and they were all mainly irrelevant stuff.
I had to go to her hospital everyday and listen to her speech...-___-
Well...let's just say it's not fun.
She could talk for 3 hours and I had to go back the next day...
The bigger problem was. her hearing is almost completely lost. She couldn't hear a thing I say. And she often called me by my sister's name. -_____-

The good news is, my grandmother is better. So there's nothing much to worry about.
China has good tv shows, and I could sleep as late as I want. =]
The plane was really bumpy. When it was unstable, it goes up and down and and sometime sideways. It was like riding the pirate's ship but 20000km from the ground. That was something I don't want to do in a while.
After I came back, I had a lot of catching up to do, so I slept really late.
And I overslept this morning. But I was going to meet Gee at school at 8:15...
So I was like...in a rush. A muffin for breakfast and I ran all the way to school.
But I heard that I've missed a math test. =[ I hope I am still allowed to take it.

Well...today I was packing up for my trip to China. I didn't know what to pack so I checked the weather of the place I was going to. ...

I was going to watch the movie with all those people today. But when I got there, there was like nobody i know. and the line up almost reached the food court. 0.0
I lined up for a long time, and gave up after 20 minutes. So sorry guys. Next time I should ride the skytrain with u guys.
So I instead went to the library and read manga for 2 hours. WOOT! not that I don't want to watch the movie, I want to watch it really badly. [wahhh.....] If I kept lining up, it would have been half way through the movie already.
I learned my lesson, next time I will go 1 hour early. =/

And for some reason, I went to the Richmond Olzone for 3 times this week. And I get to watch F.I.R's live performance. Yay! =D

Weee~~! I went to Laurie's house today. =] She has two brothers (wow...) Darvey and Darwin.
She wasn't there so I waited for her at the front door. Her mom was mad at Darvey for not practicing violin 5 times this week. Her mom is strict...>.< (ahh...sorry about that Laurie)
We were supposed to go meet Jamie. Laurie phoned her, and apparently Jamie went there and came back already. O.O

Well...today's king if Hearts day... I wasn't really excited because I don't talk much anyways. Well,....so in math class, some people were trying to get my heart. They were mean people. >=( Edward kicked me, so I said ow. But I don't want to give my heart away for the "ow". Then Jacob just pulled the heart right off the pin. It's so not fair. But anyways....on the bright side, I got candy even without the heart. YAY!

Wah...>.< I forgot to bring my math textbook home. Guess I'll have to go to school early tomorrow.
I'm going to sign up for the sun run. Mainly because of those extra 3%. My friend from another school said you can get free food on the way running. Don't know if that's true... Oh and, I don't know how to get a day pass. My mom said you have to buy it on the day of the field trip but I'm not sure...

Yes! So today I had my routine test. And I got 54/63. I got no mistake at all. The only problem was difficulty and creativity. =3 Yay me. Teacher said I did everything perfectly. I hope I get a better grade in PE this term. I want to get on the honor roll. And for math, this term if I keep it up, I get 100.9 % because I got the bonus question right. =D

Choices

So today I went to watch the one act play Choices at school. It was pretty cool. They had five stories. The first one was about different people who knew each other but coincidentally dated each other without knowing it. The second story was about two family that were neighbours. The old mother of a woman was dying and their neighbouring 7 year old girl had heart disease. After the old lady died, the little girl got her heart. The other three were great stories too, but I won't write about it, or else I will be...exposing the fun too much. =3

Laurie's house

I went to Laurie's house~~! But since we are not going to present until the end of the month, we decided to work on our english presentation. Laurie is doing the goddess Iris. Jamie made her a pair of wings and all those pretty stuffs. We also tried to make the cloth look Greeky/Greekish on Laurie. And I'm going to lend Jamie a box because she's doing Pandora.
Laurie hadn't finish her puzzle from christmas yet. She tripped over a corner. So I helped, I was so proud of myself to be able to help. =D

a mess...

Our neighbours complained about my piano practicing. So we had to move my piano across the living room beside the balcony. Great. And, I got a socials project, a skit, an english dress up thing, science fair project, french test, theory, piano contest, and my dad is coming. I have to work extra hard this week to at least get something done...

rotation

Today, it was rotation, I had fine arts first period. There was a new transfer student. She came to our class. Her name is Hannah and she's Korean. I was afraid that she might not be able to find her way to the classrooms, so I got her a map and showed her the rooms. I feel really good about it. =D
I still need 2 people for my science fair project. My goal is to finish the experiment this week, so I can work on the rest next week.

oil painting

Today we started oil painting~~ It's actually harder than I thought because we have to hold the very end of the brush and you can't erase anything you did wrong. I hope I didn't get my new hoodie dirty, because you can't wash oil paint off clothes...

I realized there's only 2? or 3 weeks until the science project is due. Well, I'm pretty much a slacker, but I get things done. So I 'm not so worried like my friends. If they start counting down now, they are going to get too anxious.
Today my friend gave me my (belated) birthday present. I opened the card in French class and everyone was like...total silence and staring at me. >.< And she is so forgetful, she gave me something I gave her 2 years ago.

frustrating

Today we went to a friend's house. There were three little girls and two toddlers. I was in charge of them. So first the toddlers were chasing the three little girls around the room. Then somehow one toddler started crying. So his mother told us to go downstairs. Things didn't get any better downstairs. The other toddler started smacking in to a little girl's face. He made her cry 5 times. The other toddler was trying to make him apologize to the little girl. (they were speaking baby language, but I'm sure he said something like "say sowwy") Well...he didn't apologize but he hit the other toddler's face. Then they started hitting eachother. So I told my sis to get an adult. It was a very frustrating afternoon. I bet they think I am irresponsible ...

I just realized I haven't blogged. Today I went practicing piano with Winnie. She's in grade ARCT or something like that. We are entering a contest in April. ...I almost finished my first scarf. =D Yay me! So I decided to go buy more yarn today. And go to the library on the way home.

humor blog

Well...I'm supposed to blog about what I think is funny about the movie. But I didn't watch it. The first period when we started it, I was at the door helping Jamie untangle her huge pile of knotted yarn. Today I tried to make sense of the movie but then we had a socials test coming up so I started studying. But I guess what makes that movie funny was, that guy always does unpredictable things. He does things normal people don't do and that's what makes the movie humorous.

I think I haven't blogged for a few days. =/ I'll try to blog more when I have the time. Today is the Synergy test for the grade sevens. I know a lot of people who are taking the test. I hope they get in. >.< I got the parent teacher interview request form. But do parents have to attend? Because my sister has scouts and my mom has to work.

mistake...

I forgot to look in my agenda and did extra work. Which was very stupid of me. I usually have a not-that-bad-memory. I guess people do stupid things once in a while.
I can't do any of the moves in gymnastics. Sadly...I can't even do a cartwheel. ToT And I hurt my ankles. Other people can stand on their hands and do all those cool stuffs...

Sunday...

Today for piano class, I changed my schedule. So this morning, my brain had not yet grown back yet, I went to my piano class without my books. How can do something like my sister?! But it was weird my teacher didn't get mad at me. She's so nice. >.<
Time management doesn't work. I always have random things popping up to mess everything up.

mouse ...

My sister's friend Cici came over. And she brought her pet mouse with her. The mouse's name was Kiki. It was black and tiny with a long tail. My sister played with it in her barbie houses. The mouse was pretty fun. Except I was so scared that the mouse might bite me or something. After this, my didter wanted a mouse or a hamster for her birthday.
I changed my drawing class schedule. So now I have Tuesday and Friday nights. I hope it all works out. And we are almost finished with watercolor, and starting oil painting soon. =D

Today I'm finally starting to get a bit better at knitting. But because my needles are too thin, I'm wasting a lot of yarn. =( Sometimes I poke myself with the needles. I don't have much homework this weekend. So I can work on my other stuff more.
I was in a bad mood today. And now I think my mom is sick.

My mom said I knitted too tight, so she just pulled all of mine off to start over. She knits so fast, I couldn't see a thing. Then she said my yarn isn't the proper yarn for knitting. So I guess I have to get a new yarn next class._.
Well, I got a new hobby these days. I like to collect people's birthdays. Don't know why, though. I just got inspired by something.

drawing class =/

At drawing class the teacher got mad at us. Nobody got the scale right. Then somehow she started talking about her trip to Hawaii. She said Hawaii wasn't fun at all, and she said if any of us wants to see what Hawaii looks like, then go on the Internet and see for ourselves. But never go there. O.o Then suddenly she was talking about sushi. She said the sushi shop next door is 50% off. She said she'll lend us money if anyone wants sushi. So half the class went...

school...

Ah...School starts tomorrow. I have a churning feeling whenever I think about it. I didn't want school to end before the break, but now I don't want school to start. My whole family's this kind of people.
Today we finally went skiing. =D I taught my sister. She's a genius. She learned it right away. But my mom's not so lucky, she was having trouble just standing there.

Third try ._.

Well, well. I don't have 20 people for my science project yet. At least I am a quarter through( 5 down, 15 to go). I have no idea where those people live, so I might as well just have to ask Ms. Smedley if 10 people's ok... So tomorrow is our third try for Grouse mountain, hope it all works out. Or not, so I have more time for my science project. But I can't decide what happens tomorrow. So I don't even worry about it. I'm more worried about my science, I still have a lot to do. But I wonder if Ms. Smedley will give us some time to work on it in class. =s

new year's

Today was our second try for Grouse mountain. But we still didn't get to go skiing because it was raining, even on the mountains. So I just stayed home and read books. I finished 5 books in one day. Scary... =/ I barely noticed that today's new year's day. The rain made the day all gloomy. But, still, happy new year everyone. =D
