And also, Ray was playing music because it's his interest. But other people are all for the money. Just like people today, they don't do things if they don't gain anything from it.
People are under so much pressure today, many find ways to relieve themselves. Some people do drugs like Ray did.

I've found the hotel name "Overlook" kind of deep. Although I didn't catch what it really meant. But I think it means, everything that happened in the hotel is an "overlook" of something more important.
